Asking To See The Truth Doesn’t Mean You’ll Like What You See

IT’S BEEN MESSY| BECAUSE MERCURY RETROGRADE WAS NOT CUTE

I thought this was supposed to be easier

Growth can be a gut punch. Anyone else stare the most recent Mercury retrograde🪐 in the face and ask that what’s meant to be revealed come to light, only to be nearly blindsided by the answer?

I suspect we’re somewhat alike: 3 weeks ago, we laughed that Mercury was going into retrograde and face-palmed at the inevitable tech glitches (3 hours on the phone with Apple Support? ✓ iOS upgrade went terribly? ✓).

But then I - we - got serious. We got tired of feeling unclear and overall exhausted from a humming dissonance that’s been building the past 18 months. And, whether we accessed the astrology or not, we set an intention to receive clarity and reveal what we truly needed to see.

BUT REAL CLARITY IS LIKE DETOXING | AND THAT CAN FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE

Healing is a spiral

When we ask to receive insight, for lessons to be revealed, for the truth to come to light, for our path to become clear, we’re likely secretly hoping that it’s all rainbows and unicorns from there. And, when it’s not, it can feel murky, confusing, and painful.

Reflecting back to move forward with more clarity and alignment may involve changes in careers, finances, partnerships, and the very foundation you thought your life was built on.

So, while allowing what’s not meant for us to fall away is more than commendable - it’s yell-from-the-rooftops powerful - it’s in no way easy.

SO… | FEEL PROUD, SUPPORTED, AND KNOW YOU’RE NOT ALONE

Let’s be real about what “healing” looks like

Getting clarity, moving forward in alignment, and shedding what no longer serves us is messy. Like, bawling your eyes out messy. And, the abuse of terms like “love and light” in regards to healing modalities can make us think our journey will be lined with gold rose petals. Maybe it will, and if you’ve had that experience, I applaud you from afar.

What I’m seeing more of, though, is that people’s journeys are beautiful but sometimes hectic tapestries of forging a path forward despite the inevitable setbacks.

When we get real about clarity and healing often being complex, maybe we can be kinder to ourselves and remember that just to be on the path of healing is to be deeply commended. Remembering we are all in the right place, even when it’s difficult, is to be commended. Remembering that we have gifts like breathwork, energy work, journaling, therapy, and a good cry on the couch is to be commended. Moving forward even when the path is bumpy is to be commended.

KNOW THIS | YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE

You’re seen and valued

You’re a being made of pure light, and while the light may feel a bit dim in difficult times, may it never go out. You deserve support, love, and to be seen and valued, even in your darker times.

May you use the lessons from the past few weeks to revisit, reflect, process, acknowledge, and move forward. And if that means a few more days resting on the couch, I’ll see you there. 💛
